Infrared gas grill

An infrared gas grill is a kind of natural gas heater. It heats a ceramic tile by igniting gas. This leads to an emission of infrared radiation that cooks food.

A good infrared gas grill will distribute heat uniformly as it cooks. Temperatures of the grill reach over 900°F so food can be seared quickly. Other benefits include reduced preheating time and a less dry taste to the food because it cooks so quickly.

If you purchase an infrared gas grill be careful that you don't overcooked the food. Because the temperatures are so high inexperienced chefs often burn the food. Also, when shopping - be prepared to shell out more money than you would for a similarly sized charcoal grill.
